The PTO would like everyone to be involved in their children's
education. Getting to know you child's teacher and having a good
relationship with that person can help your child a great deal. It is
easier if you know the teacher when there are problems with
homework or if the child is struggling. They can help you help your
child as no one else can. Visit with your teacher during parent/teacher
conference. Come to the Open House and meet with the teachers.
Another way to be involved in your child's education is to be involved
and utilize the information the PTO provides. The PTO distributes a
monthly newsletter, The Buzz, that contains vital information about
what is happening at the school. The PTO puts out the newsletter to
give parents and students an easy way to find information on dates,
events and all the happenings around our school.
The PTO also hosts family fun nights, to keep families involved with
each other in a fun atmosphere.
And through the use of FUNdraising the PTO helps to fund the Artist In
Education program and the Performing Arts program, just to name a
few of the things the funds raised are used for.
I hope everyone has a great year, and please, if you would like to
volunteer for any of our activities, committees or events please do so!
